Our worship is contemporary in style, but our goal is bigger than a particular kind of music. We want to worship God in a way that is authentic, intimate, Spirit-led, and accessible to people wherever they may be in their journey of faith.
We also value relevant, biblical teaching and preaching that is led by the Spirit, rooted in Scripture, and helps us learn what it means to follow Jesus in everyday life.
We believe following Jesus is a lifelong journey of becoming more like Him.
We place a strong emphasis on discipling the next generation through Kingdom Kids, while also encouraging adults to grow through Bible study, small groups, fellowship, accountability, prayer, and relationships with one another.
We pray for one another and believe there is something powerful about seeking God together.
We also value the ancient spiritual practices that have helped Christians grow in their relationship with God for generations, including repentance, confession, fasting, solitude, silence, study, prayer, meditation, and worship.
Because discipleship involves both learning and doing, we provide opportunities for people to be equipped through training and workshops in areas such as leadership, prayer, preaching, spiritual gifts, and ministry.
We also recognize that Yellowknife is a highly transient community. We try to hold people with an open hand. Whether someone is with us for six months or many years, we want to invest in them, love them well, help them grow in Jesus, and bless them wherever God leads them next.
We believe church is more than a place people attend. It is a community where people can be known, loved, supported, and challenged as we follow Jesus together.
Yellowknife Vineyard is a diverse church. Over the years, people from more than thirty countries have worshipped with our community, and we are grateful for the different cultures, backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives represented among us.
We want to be a welcoming, embracing, and friendly church that continues growing toward what Scripture describes as a beloved community.
Our congregation often feels like a family. We seek to genuinely know one another, care for one another, celebrate together, walk through difficult seasons together, and make room for new people.
Small groups are an important part of that. They provide opportunities to build deeper relationships, grow in faith, pray together, and experience community beyond Sunday mornings.
Located in downtown Yellowknife, we want to be present in and serve our immediate neighbourhood while also caring about the needs of our city, the North, and beyond.
Although Yellowknife has a highly transient population, we are grateful for a congregation that continues to be faithful, engaged, generous, and willing to serve.
We believe Jesus calls us not only to love one another within the church, but also to love and serve the world around us.
We participate in outreach locally, throughout the Northwest Territories, and globally, looking for practical ways to demonstrate the love and compassion of Jesus.
We want our church to be a place of refuge and restoration—a community where people who are hurting, weary, questioning, searching, or simply in need of hope can find welcome.
The healing and wholeness found in Jesus is something we pursue throughout our lives. We believe God still meets people in their brokenness, brings healing, restores hope, and transforms lives.
Because of that, we want to provide care, prayer, encouragement, and a welcoming community for people at every stage of faith: committed Christians, people who have been hurt by the church, those who are unsure what they believe, those exploring Christianity, and those who may have no faith at all.
