Yellowknife Vineyard Christian Fellowship
Newsletter for October 25, 2026

VNEWS - October 25, 2026

a note from the leadership team

Dear Church Family,

Following an incident that took place at the end of last Sunday's service, we wanted to reach out to our church family and share a few things we're doing moving forward.

We want Yellowknife Vineyard to be a place where everyone feels safe, welcomed, respected, and valued. Unfortunately, there are times when things happen that don't reflect who we want to be as a church, and when they do, we need to take them seriously and respond appropriately.

If you have experienced or witnessed inappropriate comments, behaviour that made you uncomfortable, intimidation, or unwanted physical contact, we encourage you to reach out to one of our pastors or board members. We want to hear from you, and we want to make sure concerns are taken seriously and followed up on appropriately.

We also recognize that as our church grows and changes, not everyone knows who our current leaders are or who they can approach when something happens. While our pastors are on parental leave, we will make sure everyone knows who the board members and designated church leaders are. We will also be updating our church website with information about our Pastoral Leadership Team and Board of Directors.

As part of our ongoing efforts to improve safety at church, beginning this Sunday, the church doors will remain locked until 9:30 a.m. Those who need access before then will be provided with a way to enter.

We know that a safe and welcoming church is about more than policies or locked doors. It's also about how we treat one another, how we respond when someone raises a concern, and how we care for those who have been hurt.

Thank you for being part of our church family and for helping us make Yellowknife Vineyard a place where people can come, feel welcomed, and experience the love of Jesus.

Blessings,

The Pastors, Board of Directors, and Pastoral Leadership Team
