Worship and Waiting - Friday 29th April (evening)

David and Anita Ruis (Directors of AVC Canada) visit us on 28, 29 April. On the evening of Friday 29th April they will be leading a Worship and Waiting evening for us at church.  More details to follow later…but save-the-date now!

Melt's Lenten Thought for the Week

Often parents are tempted to comfort small children with words. Yet…in the very beginning, God said nothing. He was simply present – present in the darkness before creation hovering on the waters. Words came later, as whole galaxies were spun into existence…  But for that moment it was enough for God to simply be there. To be present and to be patient. Genesis gives us the answer we all need. Our parent, God, is present. Before there was light, before there were any signs of life and even without words, JESUS, God’s agent of creation, was already saying, ‘Here I am, present in the dark.’

Still looking for Accommodation - can anyone help?

Do you have accommodation to share with this little puppy and her professional owner?  Anita will be working in Yellowknife from April 1st to the end of September.  Rosie is well behaved and trained but cannot be left at home.  Can you help?  Please email admin@ykvineyard.com if you are able to help Anita and Rosie.

We are looking for readers, greeters, coffe makers and general helpers!
We are also needing/looking for coffee-makers for Sunday service, starting next Sunday, April 3rd.
Helping and stepping up to get involved is what we do and is a wonderful way to get to know each other better and help build a strong united church family. Please help in any way you can!
Email:  admin@ykvineyard.com or chat to one of the pastoral team at the service on Sunday!
Kingdom Kids is for ages 3 -12 years and we invite all children in that age group to join the class and experience the wonder of learning about Jesus.
We would welcome volunteers or ideas for a possible separate Kindergarten class for the under 3's.  Please contact Leslie Croft for more details.

See you all on Sunday!

Grace and peace!
