Healthy marriages and families take intentionality, support, and sometimes a little help along the way. At Yellowknife Vineyard, we want to create space for couples to strengthen their relationship, prepare well for marriage, work through challenges, and continue growing together.
We believe marriage is more than simply staying together. It is a relationship where two people can learn to love one another more deeply, communicate honestly, extend grace, navigate conflict in healthy ways, and grow together in their relationship with God.
Whether you are engaged, newly married, have been married for many years, or simply want to invest in your relationship before problems arise, we would love to walk alongside you.
Prepare/Enrich
Prepare/Enrich is a relationship assessment and guided process designed for both engaged and married couples. Each couple completes an online assessment that provides a personalized picture of their relationship, highlighting areas of strength as well as opportunities for growth.
Couples then meet with a trained Prepare/Enrich facilitator to work through the results together. Conversations may include communication, conflict resolution, finances, expectations, intimacy, family backgrounds, parenting, spiritual beliefs, personality differences, and other areas that shape a relationship.
For couples preparing for marriage, Prepare/Enrich can be part of premarital preparation. For married couples, it can be a helpful way to intentionally check in on their relationship, strengthen areas that are already healthy, and work on areas that may need greater attention.
Marriage Mentoring
Sometimes what a couple needs most is another couple willing to walk alongside them.
Through Marriage Mentoring, connected with FamilyLife Canada, couples are paired with a mentor couple who can offer encouragement, conversation, biblical perspective, and practical support.
Marriage mentoring is not about having a perfect couple teach another couple how to have a perfect marriage. It is about creating a safe and supportive relationship where couples can talk honestly about marriage, learn from the experiences of others, and be encouraged as they grow together.
Mentoring can be helpful for couples who are doing well and want to strengthen their marriage, couples navigating a particular season or challenge, or couples who simply want another Christian couple investing in their relationship.
Which One Is Right for Us?
You do not need to know before reaching out.
Prepare/Enrich provides a structured assessment and guided conversations that can help identify specific strengths and growth areas in your relationship. Marriage Mentoring provides an ongoing relationship with another couple who can encourage and walk alongside you.
For some couples, one of these may be the best fit. For others, both may be helpful at different points in their marriage.
