Melt is our lead Pastor. Melt and Anida are from South Africa and have been with us since November 2018. Melt serves on the Association of Vineyard Canada National Leadership Team and served as Vineyard Regional Team Leader for the Prairies and the North for three years. He holds an MTh from the university of Stellenbosch in Missions and Homiletics, and a DMin in leadership from Fuller Seminary. Anida is a chef and accomplished food product developer.
Bright Lubansa is a Canadian of many years’ residence, His country of origin is Zambia. Bright brings a strong business acumen to the board and the Pastoral Leadership Team. Bright is the founder and patron of the Young Eagles Development Centre in Zambia. The Young Eagles are a registered charity both in Canada and Zambia. Bright serves on the board of the Association of Vineyard Churches in Canada.
Joshua is our Worship Pastor. He has loved music from childhood and, has a heart for worship. Joshua leads the worship department at Yellowknife Vineyard, and oversees the media ministry. He has a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies from Briercrest College where he took extensive courses in Greek. Joshua and his wife, Rachel, have two young children and moved to Yellowknife in 2018.
Karen is a long time member of YKVC. She has served the church in many capacities (including worship, kingdom kids and youth) over the years. She has been the chairperson of our board for five years, and has recently, after a break of three years, come back to serve on the Pastoral Leadership Team. Karen has two young daughters. She is the director of child and family programs with Yellowknife Women's Society.
Richard has a heart for serving others and the people around him. Being a true Yellowknifer with a South African heritage, he loves exploring the outdoors.
Jabin and Jessica Carrasco are our family pastors. They lead the Kingdom Kids Ministry and the hospitality team. Both have extensive experience working with children in various contexts. They have four children of their own. Jabin serves as the professor of early childhood development at Aurora College. Jabin holds an M.Ed and an MDiv from Tyndale Seminary.
